HART'S HERO

Introducing HART’s Hero for September…
Sr Nathalie, M.J.N.E.
Sr Nathalie, M.J.N.E.
Sister Nathalie leads HART's Hope program, bringing a wealth of experience in caring for orphaned children. She previously served as a Missionary of Charity Sister for twelve years, making her the ideal person to head this initiative when HART created the program.
Sister Nathalie feels called by God to help others, especially children, whom she sees as "the future of our country (Haiti) and the world." She shares HART's vision of supporting the whole person—humanly, morally, spiritually, and socially—which makes her deeply connected to HART’s mission.
What keeps her going, despite the challenges, are the small miracles she witnesses. "The work is very difficult, the obstacles are many, and at times you want to give up," she admits. "We accept these children as they are—from the poorest, most broken, and wounded families. Our goal is to help them realize they are somebody, created in God’s image and love. When they see how precious they are and God’s love begins to transform them and their families, that’s what inspires me. Seeing children grow from anxious eaters to confident eaters, never going to church to making their First Holy Communion, and excelling academically makes every effort worthwhile.”
When asked to share something fun about herself, Sister Nathalie reveals, "I love to dance!" She began dancing with the children and now finds it a joyful way to relax and momentarily escape the hardships of her country.
Sister Nathalie is a true hero to these sweet children and to all of us at HART. We are grateful for the beautiful example of God’s love that she embodies. Thank you, Sister Nathalie—we are blessed to have you, and we love you!
Keep dancing!
